For Michael Berolzheimer, entrepreneurship has been a life-long passion. Founder and Managing Partner of Bee Partners, Michael launched his first business at 11 and interned at an early Social Network called The Sierra Network at 13. Michael began his career in finance at DLJ/Credit Suisse, working in alternative asset management. After two years in investment banking, he was recruited by a multi-billion dollar middle-market private equity fund, called Harvest Partners, and it was there that he completed his first angel investment (Bear Naked Granola). Months later, he chose to exclusively focus on venture creation, and has since co-founded two startups, served as a non founder executive for another three startups, and has led investments in more than 30 companies.
Beyond Bee Partners, Michael serves as an advisor to dozens of entrepreneurs & investors, is a Venture Advisor for UC Berkeley’s Skydeck, the school’s accelerator program, and moderates an alumni group for Cal that is dedicated to entrepreneurship, called CalFounders. He earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Computer Science & Economics. A dedicated father of three, Michael resides in the East Bay and enjoys spending time with his family in the Lake Tahoe region.
Namaste has seemingly flowed in Michael’s blood since he was a boy — growing up in a household full of women, he was well coached on the priorities of family life and is honored to support as an entrepreneur, a father and a businessman.
