The Lillian and Bob Jordan Joy-Luck group was formed to honor the memory and spirit of Lillian and Bob Jordan and to continue enjoying the long-standing friendships of the Joy Luck group.

We all realize how fortunate we are to be able to gather together to support an organization like Namaste-Direct.  We believe the organization is appealing on many different levels and donors will contribute for various, often personal, reasons.

We were excited to travel to Guatemala to learn about the Namaste-Direct programs.  It was a means for us to see hope in the eyes of the microcredit borrowers.  In remote, rural villages we met with groups of women and their children and heard their stories.  The circumstances of their lives (uneducated, female, indigenous, some a single-parent) have placed them at the bottom of the economic pyramid.

Because of your financial generosity, the loans, counseling, and support have now begun to end this cycle of poverty – we could see it in their smiling faces.  It was emotionally rewarding for us to see a roomful of women and their children thank us, and all of you, for making their lives better forever.

These programs work – let's continue doing what we can.  A small sacrifice from us is a changed life for these families!

There is no better way to honor the memory of a recently deceased loved one than to help improve the lives of those who need it most.
