Elizabeth Bell

Elizabeth Bell was born in Burlingame and grew up in Palo Alto, CA. She moved to Antigua Guatemala in 1969.

Elizabeth has a Teaching Degree from USAC and she did her Graduate studies at University of Washington. She also has a Certificate in Architectural Conservation ICCROM (Rome), diplomas and certificates during 45 years of studies in fields related to Antigua Guatemala, its history and heritage.

Elizabeth taught English as a Second Language for 25 years in Guatemala and has owned and operated Antigua Tours since 1992.

Some of Elizabeth’s notable accomplishments include The Diego de Porres Gold Award (2011), the highest award given by the Guatemala government for 42 years dedicated to the preservation of Antigua, Guatemala. Elizabeth is also the mother of two children.

Elizabeth came to Namaste when she found it extremely difficult to open a business in 1992. She hopes to pass on her experience as a business woman in Guatemala.
